December 31st Happy New Year's Eve

We went to a community celebration tonight from 6-9 there were sleigh rides, face painting, skating, cocoa, hot dogs...and at 9:30 we headed over to the superstore parking lot to see the fireworks.  The kids watched from on top of the van and I was amazed at the fireworks the town put on!  Happy New Year!!
And here we are at the end of the year, and thus, the end of my 365 blog.  I really can not believe I posted a picture a day!  It feels soooo good to have reached my goal!  It has been so fun to do this, and has made me feel closer to my family and friends that live so far away!  Now I am going to print it into a book so we can look at it and laugh at all the things we did this past year!
So, I am shutting down this blog and starting a new one.  The link is http://www.somerandstephan.blogspot.com/

December 30th

We found this amazing sledding hill!  We were the only ones there for a while which was really nice because let's be honest, not everyone knows about the "come back up the hill on the side not in the middle so other people can come down" rule.  Great day!

December 29th

Kimball is making hot cocoa for all of us!

December 28th Happy Anniversary Stephan!

I made waffles for breakfast and Norah and Anna came down dressed very fancy!
So this is Fancy Nancy Norah eating her delicious brunch! Bon Appetit!

Dec. 27th

It finally snowed (it keeps melting)  and the boys went out to shovel while Dad snowblowed...I don't know how much Sam actually did...and I don't know how much Kimball loved the fact that I kept taking pictures of him while he was busting his back shovelling!

December 26th

Our neighbours gave us Hulabaloo for Christmas and Sam is presently doing a
funky dance to celebrate his win.

December 25th Merry Christmas!

This is Norah opening her gifts!  She kept bringing them out from under the tree saying 'another one for me!'  Then we'd look and it was not for her!  But she thought every one was for her anyway!  It was a great morning!  We spent the rest of the day playing games and relaxing.  oh, and almost having a fire, but I want to forget about cooking our Christmas feast in my coat and boots because we had all the doors and windows open to air out the place...I want to forget that part...but, we had the feast and it was the best one we have ever had because we were grateful for a warm home and warm food!

Dec. 24th Christmas Eve

Surprisa avond this year came with a giant airplane for dad, a maze for mom, light saber battle for Sam, Norah the explorere for Norah, a singing stage for Anna, a Dora and Diego expedition for Kimball (from Norah of course) it was a wonderful night!
We did this after we got home from the church performing the Forgotten Carols.  I didn't take any photos though. We videotaped it though.

I took this photo after all the children were nestled in their beds and Santa had been and gone.  This is what our children will wake up to in the morning.

Dec. 23rd

She painted the door, herself, and all the way up the stairs...so, her consequence was to clean it all up.  The tricky part was, she now loves to wash walls!

Wed. Dec. 22nd

We wrote letters to Santa tonight. Stephan helped Norah with hers.  I don't know if you can read it but Kimball asked, 'How long does it take to travel around the world?'  Sam chose not to write one.   Santa already knows what he wants anyway!
