I love the colors of all these peppers!! If he was only allowed one meal for the rest of his life, this would be my husband's choice, with all his favourite sauces too of course. Oh, and the hand, is Miss Norah's.
Sam goes on the piano everyday now and has rekindled his love for music. Stephan has been playing duets with him daily, and he loves to put on some of the demo ragtime music and pretend he's playing.
This is what our kitchen table looks like after everyone is in bed, and the kitchen has been cleaned. I love the meals, conversations, games, and memories that are made at this family table. I was looking at everyone around the table tonight watching them talk and laugh and eat and I thought about how precious it is that we all fit around this table and that everyone is here, together. They are still all so small.
For family home evening the activity was roofus and rastus, a very silly name for "take your opponent's socks off while blindfolded" Very fun, very brutal.
We went shopping in Ottawa! A fun girls day. Here is what I bought at Bath and Body Works...it is my favourite place to buy hand soap. I give these little gifts away for birthdays...I am so happy about it!
A new bathrobe for Norah, courtesy of some hand me downs from a friend. These is Norah's adorable shoe collection. Also, courtesy of gifts and hand me downs.
Norah's absolute favourite book is Llama Llama Red Pajama. She knows it so well that she can complete the sentences for me. I must admit it, I love the book too.
We had Erin, Ethan, and Noah over for dinner and had apple pie with ice cream... Sam all of a sudden said, "Hey Ethan, do you want me to freeze?" and then he put his ice cream up to his face and just froze there. My children make me laugh everyday. I love it.
Today is Saturday. We went to a baptism, 2 birthday parties, and then came home and crashed. Anna crashed into a tree while sliding down the Sherlock's amazing front lawn sledding hill. It looked really rough. I didn't take a picture though...
Kimball wanted to make a cake...without a recipe!! He put in salt, pepper, eggs, flour, baking soda, cocoa, milk, and blueberries...and what do you know, it was actually very delicious!
I saw Anna reading this new book from the library and couldn't resist taking her picture. This is my favourite hairdo on her...messy buns. I am so glad she still lets me do her hair.
I can't believe it's February! There was no school today and the new novelty is the microphone...we all attended the NORAH concert. Anna and Kimball set up the stage and chairs, and they made tickets too. Then we all listened to the tunes of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Baby Mine, and Lullaby. I hope I never forget how that sounded. Oh, and then we had the violin, drums, and piano join in the concert too. The "drums" gave me a headache.
Stephan and Sam worked on some puzzles this evening. About 2 minutes after this photo was taken, NORAH came and demolished it all. Sam was so patient with her.
